Ken McDonald, originally from Dublin, is an experienced performer of 25 years plus. He is currently the drummer with Sligo-based band Anything Goes, Kieran Quinn’s famed theme nights and is the in-house drummer at the Hawkswell Theatre. Predominantly self-taught, Ken went on to complete his Masters Degree in Music under the tutelage of leading jazz guitarist Mike Nielsen, with whom he still performs.

Equally at home on percussion, Ken has performed and or recorded with a wide spectrum of artists including Louis Stewart, Kieran Quinn, Rufus Reid Allstars, Those Nervous Animals, Stockton’s Wing, No Crows, Felip Carbonell, Seamie ODowd, Johnny Gallagher and Boxtie and many others.  Ken has been employed as drummer/percussionist for many theatrical performances such as West Side Story, Hairspray, Les Miserables and the famed Coolera Dramatic Society’s annual christmas pantomime, a position he still holds.
